Mark Manders came to Canisius. To be frank it was a very up front presentation which he gave to the convergence journalism class. He spoke very eloquently and gave an indepth look into how profits are made in a regional television. It was interesting to hear someone talk about the urge to make money. Most of the people which I meet on a daily basis do not make the amount of profit for their employer to the degree which he does. This was my first encounter with someone who's entire job is based upon selling and buying television spots. It seems to me that his job was very rewarding , but the ruthlessness of the trade makes it a job which is not for everyone. Thats pretty much it for this week... until next time.
